It’s incredible that New York Fashion Week Spring 2023 is already here. Not long ago, it was New Year’s Eve. February 14th? Fall New York Fashion Week 2022? Although time is moving quickly, fashion never stops.
Nevertheless, keeping up with important trends is thrilling to us, and Fashion Week inspires us to switch up our ensembles. While some fans will throng New York City’s streets to participate in the festivities (even if it only entails hanging out at show locations), others will remain glued to their phones, checking their favourite businesses’ social media accounts for a sneak peek at the presentations. a sneak peek at the styles and colour palettes that will be the hottest in the coming months.
According to British fashion designer Simon Spurr, who recently collaborated with Express, September, along with New York Fashion Week, represents a new beginning.

According to Spurr through email, the runway collections offer novelty, a unique viewpoint, and a chance to start over.
In other words, the newest creations from our favourite designers can inspire a range of outfit ideas, teach us styling tips, and direct us toward the goods that are worthwhile investing in (or digging out from the back of our closets).
So what can we look forward to seeing during NYFW Spring ’23? Time alone will tell. We’ve asked fashion stylists for their best guesses up until then, though. They anticipate seeing more of the following in September.
Dramatic Expression in All Meanings

Predicted By: Express Celebrity Stylist, Allison Bornstein
Clients: Katie Holmes, Isla Fisher, Violette
“The colours and silhouettes, in my opinion, will have a lot more drama. Shorter skirts and longer, baggier pants will be the trend “Informs InStyle, Bornstein. “Designers will likely experiment with timeless pieces as well, but they’ll add drama by enlarging the dimensions and boosting the colour. I wonder if more designers will focus more heavily on a certain colour theme after the great FW2022 Valentino presentation!”
Classics are resurfacing

Predicted By: Stylist Zoe Gofman
Clients: Georgia Sinclair, Shanina Shaik, Dorothy Wang, Erika Costell
Gofman predicts that “a tonne of denim” and “basic staple pieces like the button-down shirt and the Kate Moss simple slip dress” will be prominent this year. I don’t see the Y2K trend disappearing, even though I think traditional pieces will make a reappearance.
Bold shades of red, oversized suits, and feminine accents.

Predicted By: Express Celebrity Stylist, Sam Spector
Clients: Taraji P. Henson, Ryan Seacrest, Kevin Jonas
“For the females, I predict that bigger suits will also be popular, along with classic feminine accents like lace, ruffles, and elaborate detailing. Tank tops will be popular in menswear, but rather than being elevated, the simple white tank will make a comeback “Spector informs InStyle by email. While vivid red and horse themes will be prominent in menswear, pink tones will predominate in that category.
