Despite the fact that we may now be wearing our tiny white dresses nonstop, a chilly, crisp new season is quickly approaching, so it’s time to start planning for the exciting new trends October has in store for us fashionistas. Particularly the energising new season hues that will be popular starting in September. What colours of fall might we expect, then? We sought out new inspiration from the F/W 18 runways to learn what hues the designers declared to be the must-haves for the coming season.
While many colours evoked thoughts of sipping pumpkin spice lattes and trampling through crunchy leaves (think earthy browns, olives, and rich burgundies), there were a few unexpected selections that strayed from conventional trends in favour of more expressive tones (think yellows, oranges, and pinks)—colors guaranteed to cheer us up on gloomy, cloudy days. Browse our picks to stay on style and scroll down to see the colours that will be huge in fall.
Fuchsia

Unexpected—yes. The hot pink colour that covered the F/W 18 runways, however, has us completely smitten. Wear the bold and vibrant colour from head to toe for a striking appearance, or incorporate it into your outfit with a big scarf (like Gigi Hadid wore at Prabal Gurung’s show). Fashion girls have embraced the trend quickly, as evidenced by their profusion at the most recent Copenhagen Fashion Week. The colour looks great when coupled with white, grey, black, camel, and other neutral colours.
Shimmery Silver

It’s opportunity to glam up your ensemble this season. The runways were coated in silvery shimmer. You can include the thoughtful material into your sunshine outfit by tiring a flashy skirt accompanying a tee and footwears or be conspicuous at your next body in a beautiful white dress, either you choose a dark liquid silvery or light gleaming sequins.
Earthy Browns

Warm, mature, dark colours are the ones that most closely evoke autumn; fortunately, these colours are abundant this time of year, appearing in shades of light brown, rust, cream, dark, and sugary food. Brown might very well be the new furious.
Ultra-Violet

This was chosen by Pantone as the year’s colour for 2018. Sweaters, scarves, and two-piece skirt sets all had the rich, vivid colour that designers showcased. It looks best when combined with browns, reds, and soft yellows.
Poppy Red

You may transition gracefully from fall to the holiday season by wearing a vivid and striking red. Models were covered head to toe in the cheerful colour by designers including Tibi, Jil Sander, and Prabal Gurung. Purchase a lovely red coat or garment, and enjoy experimenting with volume and texture.
Nebulas Blue

While various shades of blue, from navy to pastels, ruled the runways this season, it was the vibrant shade of “starry eyed-blue” that particularly caught our eye. Wear the bright colour with white or contrasting (also extremely popular) orange boots.
Burgundy

On those chilly fall nights, this colour ought to be just as deep and rich as the red wine you want to sip. Because of its scrumptiously beautiful deep red tint, Pantone dubbed the colour red pear. When wearing this shade, experiment with different fabrics and textures, such as a rich velvet dress or a silk top.
Yellow

The bright hue will still be vibrant during the cooler months even if it is more frequently associated with the summer. Wear the cheerful hue with whites, greys, and pastel blues or contrast it with edgy black leather. Yellow hues range from gentle, pale tints to neons and hotter hues.
